Night Flies
Flash Puzzle Games
Developer: Anton Koshechkin and Maxim Yurchenko
Provide an open path for the light seeking flying bugs to pick up and place circular lanterns into sockets at the top of the screen. This requires moving obstacles by attaching a limited number of flying beetles in strategic positions and rotations. Click and hold the mouse button on a movable object to attach a beetle. Rotate the direction of the beetle's velocity by aiming the mouse. Send the beetle flying by releasing the mouse button.
Hold the CTRL key to delay the flight of the beetle's. This allows the player to place multiple beetles on objects before they attempt to lift it up. Clicking on a lantern at any time sends the night flies to try and pick it up. If there is an unobstructed path, they will be able to access the lantern without breaking it. Score for each level is based on the time taken to complete.
The glass lanterns are fragile and break easily. Careful positioning of each beetle is necessary to complete the game. There are many times where the lanterns need to be collected after each beetle, or when moving, and is accomplished by clicking on the lantern itself. Night Flies is well programmed and utilizes the Box2D physics engine to simulate the environment.
