Savage Huskies
Genre: Flash Fighting Action Shooting Games
Developer: Mike Wemhoff
Game Overview:
The developer of Savage Huskies has not only created a game, but also a complete alternate universe called Adregalus. There is a lot of information in the game including artwork on the planets, species, and factions. From the characters, ideas, and environments contained within this fictional universe, Savage Huskies was created.
At over 12 megs, Savage Huskies is bigger than most flash games, and may take a few minutes to load. The reason for the large file size becomes obvious from the incredibly detailed artwork, photo-realistic backgrounds, and broad soundtrack.
The gameplay is similar in style to golden-axe where you can battle multiple enemies approaching from different directions using either hand-to-hand combat, a weapon (guns), or a special power-up weapon. You can pick-up various guns dropped by fallen enemies which each have their own properties such as spread, power, and recharge speed.
There are many different types of robotic enemies to fight through, many of which can be stunned by shooting them. A choice of 3 different characters is available, each of which have their own fighting capabilities. The intro is a bit long, but the story is written well and can be worth reading. Great artwork, animation, and gameplay make Savage Huskies a winner.
The controls can take getting used to, but can be customized or reset in the options menu.
