Galagian
Galagian is a fast-paced space shooter with good level design and decent controls. Similar to classic arcade shooters, the enemy ships have unique flying and shooting patterns. Each level consists of a combination of the different ships, as well as rogue asteroids which appear at random locations and speeds.
Fly the ship by moving the mouse and shoot by pressing the mouse button. Collect diamonds from destroyed ships and asteroids to increase the score and restore shields. After every few levels, there are special challenge levels which provide weapon upgrades. Free lives are also awarded.
One game feature that requires getting used to are the shields which are activated by pressing the spacebar. The blue energy bar at the bottom of the screen represents the status of the shield. Using the shield at the right moment can save your ship from destruction, especially during the more difficult levels encountered later in the game.
Controls / How To Play:
Use the mouse to move the spaceship.
Press mouse button to shoot. Hold for auto-fire.
Spacebar = Shield
T = Toggle Mouse Visibility
Esc = Pause
S = Sound On / Off
M = Music On / Off
