Warlords: Call to Arms
Game Overview:
Warlords is an addicting action strategy game where soldier units of varying types are deployed down battle lines. Start a new game by choosing an alliance and viewing the terrain map to see which territories. Each alliance starts off with a number of territories which are represented by different colors. For example, all human territories are marked as blue.
Depending on which territories you have,
the yellow arrows show the available battles which are directed towards neighboring enemy territories. The goal of the game is to conquer the entire world map with your chosen alliance. Placing the mouse cursor over a yellow arrow will show the difficulty of that particular campaign.
The game includes a number of unique soldier units that encompass swordsmen, archers, mages, and cavalry. Different types of units can be purchased from the shop upgrade screen. Global improvements such as speed training can also be purchased as upgrades. These effect the properties of all the units in your alliance.
Cash earned in each battle is determined by the number of enemy soldiers taken out during the campaign. Winning the round requires getting your soldiers into the opposition zone, so placing fast moving units in empty battle lines can help win battles more quickly. After launching 20 soldiers, a charge option appears which deploys a soldier of the currently selected type down every battle line. Press Q for the charge.
Controls / How To Play:
Up and Down Arrow Keys (or A and D) = Choose Battle Line
Left and Right Arrow Keys (or W and S) = Choose Soldier Type
Spacebar (or Enter) = Deploy Selected Soldier
Q = Launch Charge (when available)
