Game Overview: Monster Hordes is a strategy defense game with good graphics and solid programming. Work with the three wizards to protect the castle from waves of enemy advances. This is accomplished by utilizing spells and deploying warrior units during battle.
At the top of the screen are two menus of defensive options. The left hand menu contains the spells which can be used by the wizards during battle. The right hand menu has choices for the various warrior units available. In both cases, click on a menu item and then click on the battlefield where the spell or unit should be deployed.
The locked menu items will become available as you purchase upgrades between rounds. The cost for summoning a spell or placing a new warrior is measured in mana which builds up during battle and does not effect the amount of gold collected. There are also three special rune abilities which heal the health of the troops and the castle.
